Situation

Flisk sought to protect its digital assets from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.

Traditional security systems, such as firewalls and intrusion prevention systems, were no longer sufficient to protect web applications from advanced threats. Therefore, it was crucial to implement a solution that would provide specific, adaptive defense without affecting the user experience.

Our Solution

To address this challenge, we implemented a Web Application Firewall (WAF), a specialized solution that protects web applications by monitoring, filtering, and blocking HTTP traffic between users and applications.

Unlike traditional firewalls, the WAF provides more precise protection at the web application level, allowing Flisk to defend against specific attacks and adapt to new threats as they emerge. This implementation strengthened the platform’s security, protecting its most valuable applications and assets without interrupting legitimate user traffic.

Results

The WAF implementation allowed Flisk to mitigate web attacks in real time, automatically adapting to evolving threats. This resulted in continuous protection for the company’s platforms, without disrupting the user experience.

Additionally, the solution helped to quickly reduce vulnerabilities through virtual patching, and provided continuous defense updates based on the latest cybersecurity research.

As a result, Flisk protected its databases and web servers, preventing data theft, reducing fraud risks, and facilitating compliance with security regulations, all while maintaining customer trust and the stability of its platform.
