Cloud Levante and IONOS brought together technology, security, and business professionals in Alicante for an event dedicated to a topic increasingly on the mind of European companies: how to build with AI and cloud without giving up control over their own data.
Digital sovereignty does not mean abandoning global services — it means having clarity and control over where data is stored, under which legislation, and with what access guarantees. For European companies, this means evaluating providers that offer data centers in the EU and contracts governed by European law, without giving up cloud scalability.
The event deliberately connected both topics because they can no longer be treated separately: any AI deployment at scale introduces new attack surfaces, and any modern cybersecurity strategy needs AI to detect threats at the necessary speed.
The message attendees took away was clear: sovereignty, security, and artificial intelligence are no longer separate departments — they are becoming a single business strategy.
